I'd like to send a melancholy shot-out to Bubba Smith. Smith was an All-American defensive end at Michigan State and a multiple Pro-Bowl NFL player. You probably remember him as Hightower from the Police Academy movies. He was a great football player and a guy who made me laugh a million times over. So three cheers to a life well lived.
