Judging from my wife's reaction every time Cam Newton took the podium in Under Armour during his lone season at Auburn, I think it was very wise that the company inked him to a shoe and apparel deal. This deal reportedly is the largest deal ever given an in-coming rookie; surpassing the deal Reggie Bush got when he entered the league. Regardless of the allegations surrounding him off the field, the kid is exciting, proved he could handle adversity and has a 1000 watt smile. UA should recoup its investment the first year. Furthermore, he took the breathe away of the scouts and NFL personnel types that attended his recent work-out so the sky is the limit for this kid. It was wise of UA to sign him especially since Auburn is an Under Armour school so we already associate him with the brand. I'm sure my wife can't wait until the commercials start rolling out.
